Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers use satellite transmissions to determine
the longitude and latitude of any place on earth.
StakeOut®uses GPS to collect the latitude-longitude coordinates of poles, service points, or any other station. This data is saved and can be exported and converted to any coordinate system you use. StakeOut can apply GPS data in many ways. One example is taking the GPS information for poles in a stretch of line to calculate backspans and line angles automatically — saving time and increasing the accuracy of staked facilities.
