The Powel Storm Assessment solution enables utilities to quickly assess and understand major storm damage, so you can prioritize repairs intelligently and automate post-recovery paperwork. It includes:
StormWorks. This mobile client uses simple pen-based inputs so office staff, line crews and crews from other utilities can learn it quickly to perform either Initial or Detailed Assessments. The software allows damage assessment crews to start work immediately — specifying repairs, planning work and prioritizing critical orders — and relay this information to the office instantly. This not only helps construction crews quickly restore power to as many customers as possible, it enables you to complete documentation (for FEMA reimbursement and other requirements) simultaneously, without resurveying work.
Executive Dashboard. Office personnel using the StormWorks “Executive Dashboard” can call up assessors and crews, make assignments and pull together all assessment data to extrapolate total damage. The system’s customizable algorithms estimate cost and man-hours for repairs. Once the total damage is known, users can run “what-if” scenarios based on select factors (personnel numbers, skill levels, current weather) to get a more accurate estimate of crews and days needed to restore, improving the utility’s ability to communicate correct restoration timelines to customers and the media.
WorkStudio Server. The StormWorks clients upload their completed assessments to the WorkStudio Server. WorkStudio Server manages work assignments and supports all the information available in the Executive Dashboard.
